Our Story

Florida Custom Marble was founded in 1973 by Johnny and Kathryn Hynum, built on humble beginnings and a hands-on approach to craftsmanship. From day one, they created cultured marble products by hand, guided by a simple but powerful commitment to quality, service, and integrity.

More than 50 years later, we remain proudly family-run, bringing the same sense of accountability, consistency, and pride to every project we take on.

Over the decades, our company has grown and evolved—embracing new materials, advanced technologies, and innovative processes. Today, we fabricate and install a wide range of countertop surfaces, including natural stone, quartz, porcelain, and solid surfaces. We’ve also made significant investments in robotics, digital technology, and data-driven precision to ensure exceptional results.

But one thing has never changed: we don’t outsource quality. Every countertop is crafted by our own fabrication team right here in Jacksonville, allowing for tighter quality control, faster turnaround times, and a level of care you can see in the finished product.

    SCHEDULE TEMPLATE
    Our Template Schedular will contact you to coordinate a time for our Measure Technician to come out to your home/jobsite.

    TEMPLATE
    Our Measure Technician will come out to take final measurements of your space.

    Ensure that you have the following items before your appointment:

    Sink On-Site
    Faucet On-Site
    Cooktop On-Site
    Slide-in Range On-Site

    FINAL REVISIONS
    Final Review of your job after measure.

    Specification changes, design changes, or square footage changes may cause a revision and/or new quote be sent for approval.

    SCHEDULE INSTALL
    Install Schedular will contact you to schedule a date for the installation of your new tops. If Demo is needed, it will be scheduled 1 day prior to install.

    FABRICATE
    Once install date is set, your tops will go into production.

    INSTALL
    Day of install, our professional install team will notify you 30 minutes prior to arrival.

    Ensure the following is done before install team arrives:

    Clear all items from site area.
    Kids and pets are safely out of the site area.
    Plumbing has been disconnected - if applicable.
    Care and maintenance cards will be left on site.

    SUPPORT + REVIEW
    We will conduct a Happy Call to ensure that all went well during installation.

    Continued support should any issue arise after installation.

    Request for feedback and review will be sent.

Being an accredited company with the Natural Stone Institute, FCM has gone through a multi-step process which includes a thorough document review, written exam, and extensive on-site inspection and meets the standards outlined here:
